Education
Mr O’Sullivan attended Barker College and then studied at the University of Sydney where he was awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws.

Professional Career
Mr O’Sullivan was admitted to practice as a solicitor in March 1996.  He was employed as a solicitor by Mallesons Stephen Jaques in its dispute resolution group where he worked on a number of large and complex cases, including various cases brought by the liquidators of Bond Corporation Ltd against its former directors and auditors.  He was seconded to Telstra Corporation Ltd to act as its litigation counsel in relation to its very substantial dispute with AAPT Ltd concerning telecommunications contracts and competition law.  He also acted for Telstra in relation to numerous disputes between it and internet service providers.  In 2001 he joined the London office of Linklaters & Alliance as a member of its Intellectual Property, IT and Communications Group.  In this capacity, he worked on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and IT matters.

Since being called to the Bar in 2003, Mr O’Sullivan has appeared in numerous commercial and intellectual property matters. Most notably, he appeared for ASIC in its long running claim for $92M compensation against the directors of One.Tel Ltd.  He has also recently completed an 8 month long brief advising eBay in relation to its high profile notification under section 93 of the Trade Practices Act to the ACCC of proposed exclusive dealing. 

Papers and Publications 
Mr O’Sullivan has written and presented papers for the CLE Centre and the State Legal Conference in relation to directors’ duties, mareva and anton piller orders and other aspects of litigation procedure. 

Memberships and appointments 
Mr O’Sullivan is a member of NSW Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, the New South Wales Society for Computers and the Law, the Communications and Media Law Association and the Young  Lawyers’ Civil Litigation Committee.  In 1998 he won the “audience choice” award for best speaker at the NSW Young Lawyers “Golden Gavel” public speaking competition.
